Sell & consign

Our buying policy, in plain English

We publish how we buy and how consignment works so you know the deal before you walk in.

What we pay

We base every offer on current market value, adjusted for what it costs us to resell the item. That includes platform fees and shipping on anything we sell online. In-case items are priced off the market comp directly.

You always get the offer explained, with the comp in front of you.

Cash or store credit

Take cash, or take store credit and get more. Credit is typically 15 percentage points higher than the cash offer on most items.

Cash payouts are limited to $500 per customer and $1,500 per day. Larger payouts are made by check or ACH.

Trades

We treat a trade as a purchase paid in merchandise. Your items are valued at the store-credit rate, and you pay the difference on anything you take from the case.

We don’t do straight-across swaps.

Buying days

We buy Tuesday through Friday only. If you come in on a weekend with something to sell, we’ll set an appointment for the next buy window instead of rushing a quote.

Have a big collection? Tell us about it and we’ll schedule time.

Our policy may change as the shop grows. The offer you’re given at the counter is the offer that applies.

Consignment

Let us sell it for you

For higher-value pieces, consignment can net you more than a straight sale. We list it, market it, sell it and pay you. You never pay a listing, photo or handling fee.

Commission

When an item sells, the actual platform fee for that sale comes off the top first (if it sold online). Then our commission is taken from what’s left:

Minimums

  • Minimum item value: $100, or $250 total for a lot
  • Minimum commission: $8 per item
  • On the 25% tier, minimum commission is $180

What we cover

Shipping, packaging and insurance come out of our share. Not yours.

Where it sells

In our store case, eBay, TCGplayer, Whatnot live shows and Facebook Marketplace (local pickup, closed at our counter).

Questions

FAQ

Do I need an appointment?

Not during buy hours, Tuesday through Friday. For large collections, an appointment lets us set aside the time to do it right.

Why is store credit higher than cash?

Credit stays in the shop and keeps inventory moving, so we can afford to pay more for it.

How do I get a signed or graded item priced?

Bring it in or send a request with photos. We price off recent comparable sales, and we’ll show you the comp.

How long does consignment take?

It depends on the item and where it sells best. We’ll tell you the plan up front and update you when it sells.

Can I check on my consigned items?

Yes. The consignor portal shows every item, its price and status, each sale with the fee and commission, and your payouts. We send you a sign-in link after your first drop-off.

What if my item doesn’t sell?

You’re never charged for listing or handling. We’ll talk about adjusting the price or picking it up.
